The Essential 5 are a professional jazz & swing function band consisting of Adam Hutchins – Piano, Janet Galloway – Vocals, Jim Corry – Sax, Emlyn Vaughan – Bass & Hugh Lawrence  - Drums.  All members of the band are freelance jazz musicians & have appeared at venues such as Ronnie Scotts, The London Palladium & The Hilton amongst many others whilst also working as sessions musicians & recording artists in their own right.

The Essential 5 are available for private functions & weddings across the UK for concerts, background music, corporate entertainment & dancing.  They can arrange special requests & have a wide repertoire from swing classics to classic soul.
