Stella by Starlight is a young and hip jazz quartet led by saxophonist, studied at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Tailored for weddings, corporate events and private parties. Performing modern renditions of popular jazz standards.
Alex started performing professionally while still at school and went on to study at the highly-acclaimed Guildhall School of Music and Drama. In 2008 he was selected to represent all the conservatoires of the UK by performing in the CUK Big Band, featuring jazz legends Kenny Wheeler and Norma Winstone, at the IAJE conference in Toronto, Canada. He has been fortunate enough to perform with many other world-renowned jazz musicians including saxophonist Dave Liebman (ex Miles Davis).
Since graduating, Alex has maintained a busy and varied schedule that has seen him perform at some of the UK’s top venues including Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, The Barbican, Bridgewater Hall and Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, as well as many engagements in Europe. Alex regularly performs at events for high-profile clients at some of London’s most exclusive restaurants, hotels and corporate venues including The Dorchester, The Waldorf, Malmaison, Kensington Roof Gardens, Searcy’s and The Ivy.
